Scraping the Tongue; Why It Matters More Than You Think

A simple Ayurvedic ritual that clears

more than just the mouth.

Each morning, before brushing my teeth, I use a tongue scraper - a stainless steel one, you can also use a copper one, just preferably not a plastic one. It removes buildup that can dull taste, slow digestion, and subtly fog the mind.

When using it, run it gently from back to front, five to seven times. Rinse.

It’s not about perfection; it’s about clarity and a clean start to the day, physically and energetically.

If you want, you can even say a little mantra:

“Let what is no longer needed leave easily.”
